A Wonderful Sunday!!!

 We told the girls they could have their friends over on  Sunday and we'd make Monte Cristo's for them. They were so yummy!!!Chris(David's brother) said it's a grilled cheese on steroids!!!

Ingredients

• 2 slices bread
• 1 teaspoon mayonnaise
• 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
• 2 slices cooked ham
• 2 slices cooked turkey meat
• 1 slice Swiss cheese
• 1 egg
• 1/2 cup milk

Directions

1. Spread bread with mayonnaise and mustard. Alternate ham, Swiss and turkey slices on bread.
2. Beat egg and milk in a small bowl. Coat the sandwich with the egg and milk mixture. Heat a greased skillet over medium heat, brown the sandwich on both sides. Serve hot.

Last but not least we ended with Dave's Cherry Sunset Pie.It's one of our favs!

1 8oz cream cheese softened
1/2 c powdered sugar
1 21 oz can cherry pie filling
1 8oz can of pineapple tidbits
1 8oz cool whip
1 9" graham cracker crust

Combine cream cheese and sugar with electric mixer,mixing till well  blended. Stir in  1 cup pie filling and 1/2 cup pineapple. Fold cool whip into cream cheese mixture. Pour into crust. Top with remaining pie filling and pineapple.Chill till firm.

The kids played music, talked and watched movies. Richards Dad was sweet and brought pizza over to them later that evening.Laura had to go to bed about ten thirty -she had work the next day. Richards Dad picked him up about eleven. David and Chris stayed till after one talking to Dave and I. I think a fun time was had by all!
