Road Trip With Dave

Dave had ti take a trip to Kansas this week. It was cheaper for him to drive than to fly so I went on the road trip with him.It was a nice little Valentine's  present for both of us. Lots of time to just visit with one another in the car on the way up. We also got to go to HuHot there for our Valentines dinner.Though we couldn't stop anywhere on the way up Thursday because he had to do a check ride that night after we had dinner-we did some stopping on the way home.
While still in Kansas we stopped at a couple of Native American Museums. The first one was really nice-it had a beautiful trail with alot of statues and stonework that was beautiful. We really enjoyed ourselves!

This is really the only picture of the second place we stopped-it was kind of a disappointment-it labeled itself as a Native American Museum but was really just a one room school house and pioneer stuff.
The Native American artwork at the first place was wonderful!!
The stonework on the trail was truly amazing!

These are a couple of statues on the little pond there. The pond was full of Canadian Geese and ducks.
 More of the stonework.
 Cool lamp post!
More stonework.

Here's some of the ducks that met us on the trail. I happened to have a small bag of trail mix the hotel had given us when we checked in-so I gave them half of the little bag. It was funny because when we had walked around the whole trail which was quite a little ways they met us on the other side! Lucky I had saved half of the bag for them!

This little guy was sooo cute-he was the ringleader! He followed us all the way to our car wanting more!!!!!!
It turned out to be a really nice road trip for Dave and I-nice Valentine gift!!
