Today was Dave and Linnies day to prepare for Christmas dinner.Linnie did her prep work for her Chinese dinner she has fixed for us the last five or six years. It's something we all look forward to. Dave made a couple of pies for us. His Chocolate Pecan and he decided on a ligther one also-theSunset Cherry Pie. He made it look quite festive!!
1 8oz cream cheese softned
1/2 powdered sugar
1 24oz cherry pie filling
1 8oz pineapple tidbits drained
1 8oz cool whip
1 9 inch graham cracker crust
blend togeather cream cheese and sugar with mixer. Stir in 1 cup pie filling and 1/4 cup of the pineapple.Fold in cool whip and pour into crust. top with remaing pit filling and pineapple. Dave dyed the pineapple green with food coloring.
He then made a wreath on top of the pie for Christmas.
Then we did our annuel trip to The Melting Pot for Cheese and Chocolate. I must admit the girls have come to love this tradition!
The girls love the chocolate alot more than Dave and I. But that's okay it is for them!
Our waiter was quite cute. He said we were alot of fun and said to please ask for him next time we came. Laura was quite taken by him saying this. Then we went fome and settled in waiting for Santa!!
