OH HOW WE LOVE MONTE CHRISTO SANDWICHES!!!! A few years ago I saw a recipe for a Monte Christo casserole in one of my Pampered Chef books so I decided to try it last night-it was really good!
1cup milk
6 eggs
2 packages frozen French toast slices-thawed
8 oz deli baked ham diced
8 oz deli roast turkey diced
4 oz Swiss cheese grated
1 T. powded sugar
raspberry jam
Preheat oven to 375.Beat eggs-heat milk add to eggs- beating as you add .Cut French toast strips into 3/4 inch pieces.Add egg mixture to toast and toss.
Dice ham and turkey add Swiss cheese and toss together.
Layer half of French toast mixture on bottom of 9x13 pan.Top with half of the meat and cheese mixture. Layer again with other half of toast and other half of meat and cheese mixture. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.Let sit for 10 minutes then sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into squares and serve with raspberry jam!! Very good!!!
